Here are some of my illustrations for The Holly Bears a Berry by Alison Uttley. These pictures were for a JACKANORY programme which was transmitted on BBC1 in 1979 on Christmas Eve. The story was told by Hannah Gordon.
So beautiful. I don't know this story but as a child I read a lot of Alison Uttley. Only the other day I was looking at her childhood memoir, 'The Country Child', published by Penguin Peacock and illustrated by C.N. Tunnicliffe. One suspects it would never be published today. Your illustrations are magical.
